Since launching Whisnant Surfboards in 1989, he has earned a reputation as one of the most respected craftsmen in surfing, transforming raw materials into boards that have carried generations of surfers across the waves.

This project was created to document both the maker and the process, preserving the craftsmanship, dedication, and tradition that continue to define handmade surfboards in a rapidly changing world.
